― Why did you decide to join Fujisaki?

In my university graduation thesis, I focused on the history of shopping streets in Sendai. At that time, I was interested in Ichibancho Shopping Street, especially Fujisaki. More than 200 years have passed since it was founded as a local department store, and I joined Fujisaki, which has been developing with shopping streets in the past and now, and I also wanted to contribute to the prosperity of the local shopping streets in Sendai. In addition, I wanted to be involved in occupations that interact with people, there were various departments, and I wanted to have an environment where I could always challenge new things, so I decided to apply for Fujisaki.

― Could you tell me about your current job and rewarding?

Currently, as the manager of a regional store called Vee Fujisaki Nagamachi store on the first floor of Lara Garden in Nagamachi, he is engaged in customer service, employee management, sales floor product planning, development planning, event space planning, etc.

Although it is a small store, I feel responsible for entrusting one store. However, it is very rewarding, and we are working to develop each and every employee and create shops that satisfy our customers. We organize events every week, but when we negotiate a store on our own and lead to success, we have a great sense of accomplishment.

― What do you want to do in the future?

The environment surrounding department stores is changing rapidly, and looking back on when I joined the company, I feel that the situation has changed considerably compared to that time. In recent years, companies are also required to work on SDGs, but I would like to aim for a new way of Fujisaki while constantly responding to changes in society.

In addition, since it is a department store that has developed with the local community, I hope that new initiatives can be made in various ways, not only to contribute to the local community, but also to local industries, schools, and governments.

― How do you spend time off?

On holidays, I often play with a 5-year-old child in a park. Now I'm working hard to practice jumping ropes. I'm going to start practicing my bike this time.
