Junior & Youth Chorus "raw-Ore"

The Junior & Youth Chorus "raw-Ore" was formed in 2006 by members of the Minamizaimokucho Elementary School Choir. Since then, members have been replaced, mainly from elementary school students in and outside Sendai City, specialized students, and university students, but members of society and members outside the prefecture are currently enrolled. It is important to make everyone smile through choirs, including not only contests and regular concerts, but also visits to welfare facilities, various requests and participation in Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction events, and exchange performances with other organizations.
The instruction is Yoko Otsuki. (Sendai City Elementary School, Part-time Lecturer, Department of Child Education, Private University in the City)

Major results to date

・All Japan Chorus Competition 10 consecutive times. Three of them won the silver prize in the national tournament
・Participated in the national vocal ensemble contest four times. Of these, the gold prize in the category and participation in the finals
・Performed in Estonia, Finland at the International Youth cultural festival, the EU Cultural Capital. Since then, he has participated in an exchange performance with Estonia. Last year he performed with the Estonia Youth Chorus Group "VOXPOPULI".
・At Suntory's "Ninth of 10,000" held last December, he was invited as one of the choir groups that will lead to the future, and performed with everyone from all over the country.
